i didn't catch what they were saying, but the pose said: i'm sorry for your loss.. it was a weird night thinking how leaving a religion could couse such sadnness.. jw.org.
I will never forget this answer an elder gave from his seat. "so you get disfellowshipped....who do you have? You lost your family all your friends, well maybe you have some friends but they are worldly and what good are they? You have nobody."
translation: "kill yourself"
my family got up and walked out we were so offended.

i've just put the finishing touches to my latest article, which talks about the tree of the knowledge of good and bad.. you see, i've always been fascinated with the tree of knowledge and the tree of life.
both are incredibly weird stories.
They were allowed to eat from the tree of life....until they ate from the tree of knowledge. Then the tree of life became a problem if they continued eating from it.
This is the main reason they were kicked out.
it seems that in every war or revolution, 'most' of the participants are men and young boys.
aside from the occasional female suicide bomber.
does this have something to do with their religion and/ or cultural traditions?

If it was symbolic then why were angels stationed outside the garden with swords to guard the tree of life? It is all so weird.
here is one... my mil told me according to a co talk that she heard jehovah could strike you dead when he is executing judgement based on the clothing you are wearing.
she was mad at the moment of skirts that were above the knee on me and her friend.. i said to her two things:.
1) i hope i am not in the tub during this predicament.. 2) i thought jehovah read hearts?.

It is indeed odd that they were not allowed to eat of the tree of knowledge, and in trouble for making that decision although they didn't have the capacity for knowing good and bad until they ate.
Adam and Eve were told not to eat from the tree of knowledge since once they did it would make them like God knowing good and bad. After they ate from the tree of knowledge God needed to protect them from continuing to eat from the tree of life. So he kicked them out of the garden for that reason. So not being able to eat anymore from the tree of life they started to die.
So was Satan wrong?

we all know the sort of thing..... in many congregations, specific "rules" creep in...introduced by the local elders that become set in stone.. years ago, i heard of a congregation that sat down during the first song of the evening but stood for all others (the co changed that very soon after).
then there were the older accounts of congs that had rules to make the public speakers wear only white shirts.... in one cong now, i heard that brothers can only be used for sound or microphones if they do a minimum of 5 hours per month in the ministry!.
another cong has ruled that all appointed men must pioneer for at least one month each year in order to remain qualified.. .
Ok not to derail the original subject...but why the hell do JWs feel like they are corrupting anyone's mind with shoulders and knees? Seriously don't these people live in the real world? Just driving down the street you see such skin !!! And their knees and shoulders! And some cleavage too! Sigh.
How do these highly sexed men drive safely with all that eye candy from the outside.....
